Shane Ryding has a passion for beautiful clothes, exquisite fabric, simple clean design and the process of making a
couture garment.
Shane’s love affair with fashion and design started at an early age. Growing up in South Africa, Shane spent much of
her childhood enhancing not only her own wardrobe but those of friends and family with her creative flair. On leaving
school, Shane ensured a good foundation for her career by graduating with a Degree in Fashion Design from South
Africa’s leading design institution. This was followed shortly by recognition from a leading fashion magazine as one
of South Africa’s best young designers. Working for sixteen years as a designer with several of South Africa's
leading manufacturers, has given Shane extensive experience in both design and construction of garments.
In 2004, Shane left South Africa for London where she furthered her studies at The London College of Fashion and
started her bridal business, working from her studio in South West London. Initially, she made only bespoke gowns, but
created her first collection in 2007, which, along with following collections, was showcased in a popular bridal
boutique in up-
couturier Caroline Parkes to hone her couture methods. This, together with her tremendous knowledge of fabrics, will
ensure a perfect match between form and function.
In late 2009, Shane & her family returned to South Africa. Not only has Shane returned with ideas from the latest trends
and shows, but an enviable collection of fabric, beaded & embroidered trimmings, laces, ribbons, buttons and
crystals. These are all available to you to give your gown that unique touch.
